Our Ministries

About Our Church

Pentecostal Tabernacle of Toronto’s responsibility of performing to the standards and expectations in the Ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ as observed in the 1st Century Church is huge, but fascinating.

The Lord, through much prayer, patience, faith and His blessings over the years, has worked through the church’s leadership satisfactorily.  A great deal of time and effort were given to Regent Park.  There were other Preaching and Praying Points of outreach in the GTA from 1996 to presently.

In December of last year (2011), Pentecostal Tabernacle (Toronto), moved into a humble, but desirable church home at 89 Bentworth Avenue, Unit 3A.  The church continues steadfastly to be a work in progress.

Adult Bible Class

Adult Bible Class is a forum of instruction, discussion, sharing and encouragement.  You are invited to come and join us as we strive to grow in our knowledge and application of God’s Word.

Sunday School

Sunday School is a fun and learning experience for toddlers to juniors.  Pentecostal Tabernacle (Toronto) loves children.  Parents would be consoled to know that their children are tutored by competent Bible-based instructors, who have a track record of godly and wholesome child to adolescence development skills.

Prayer Ministry

Here at Pentecostal Tabernacle (Toronto), we believe that prayer is vital to a victorious Christian life.  In an attempt to help each other sustain a consistent prayer life we strongly encourage prayer partnership. Ephesians 6:18 “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit …” Rom. 12:12 “rejoicing in hope, patient in affliction, steadfastly continuing in prayer”.

Where We Meet

Mr. Burleigh Gaynor and his family migrated from England to the Caribbean in 1973 and were introduced to the born-again experience at Pentecostal Tabernacle, Kingston, Jamaica in 1976.  Brother Gaynor’s desire and interest to grow deeper in the Lord after graduating from the Caribbean Bible Institute in 1979, led his family to move from Jamaica to Canada in 1980.

Pastor Gaynor and his wife Inez, have helped to strengthen churches in the GTA.  However, they were called to labour at Regent Park, Toronto in May of 1996.
The delicate balance of successfully providing for his family, while advancing the Kingdom of God in several locales and more recently of retirement age, are extremely challenging, but gratifying.
